Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Control Mastery theory, both evidence-based therapies, define my clinical orientation. Within this framework, my style is dynamic and collaborative. I thrive on being authentically who I am while building a strong alliance with you.
A broad spectrum of clients have worked with me including highly successful tech start-up entrepreneurs. Professionals in medicine, law, education, mental health, journalism, entertainment, and the arts - the gamut of dedicated and passionate individuals - round out my practice.
My training includes a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology, an M.A. in Counseling Psychology, and over 20 years experience in a variety of demanding clinical environments. In addition, my early career was defined by positions of increasing responsibility in law, publishing, and marketing.
I am bi-cultural, have lived overseas in Asia and Europe, and in five major metropolitan areas in the U.S. Born and raised in San Francisco, I have strong ties to urban environments, their culture, sophistication, tolerance, and diversity.
