My work as a psychotherapist began in 1992 influenced by Carl Jung and Sigmund Freud, a fascination with the collective unconscious and exploration of the depths. I believed these could have a profound and healing impact on people’s lives. Work with individuals, couples, families and children in increasingly demanding clinical environments eventually led to a more pragmatic approach, one based on the “medical model” of mental illness.
Who would have thought it would be in Silicon Valley that I’d find revitalized passion for soulful work? With the opening of my first Palo Alto office in 2008 my practice evolved to focus on entrepreneurs, visionaries and leaders in a variety of fields, including tech, medicine, law, education, entertainment, and the arts. My approach gradually shifted and my gifts as a coach blossomed.
My training includes a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology, an M.A. in Counseling Psychology, many 100s of units/hours of additional psych training and most recently Martha Beck’s Wayfinder Life Coach program. I have lived overseas in Asia and Europe, and in six major metropolitan areas in the United States. Reno, Nevada currently serves as home base, though I work with folks from all over the country and the world.
So, whether you’re based in Silicon Valley or Singapore, drop me a line. I’d love to connect!
